At just 9 years old, she stepped behind a DJ booth at the Lower Eastside Girls Club—curious, fearless, and already feeling the power of sound. While other kids were playing with dolls or video games, SLID3 was learning how to move a crowd. Her headphones were oversized, but her vision was crystal clear.

Growing up Dominican in the heart of New York City, music wasn’t just background noise—it was culture, comfort, and connection. From bachata blasting in the kitchen to hip-hop in the streets, she soaked up every rhythm and let it shape her. Those early influences gave her the foundation to become a true open format DJ, blending genres and cultures into unforgettable experiences.
